Doing theology differently !
SOLARS CENTRE offers lectures and courses designed to explore and deepen the mystical heritage of Christianity, in dialogue with other spiritual paths, the sciences, and the arts.
It is founded on the conviction that rigorous, open, and nuanced reflection is essential for growth in our inner and religious experiences. It addresses both the personal desire to drink from the Source and the need to reflect on the foundations of a new way of living together.
As an independent, non-proselytizing training and research center, it is open to anyone aspiring to a fulfilled life. It seeks to reconnect with a theology of wisdom—one that is attentive to both theory and experience, reason and intuition, doctrine and self-knowledge, interiority and action.

Our logo combines two Latin terms: SOL (the sun) and ARS (art). The "Arts of the Sun" symbolically refer to paths and practices oriented toward the Ultimate, regardless of the name attributed to it—the Wholly Other, God, or Universal Consciousness. The logo expresses the conviction that access to the divine presence, symbolized by the flame, requires a specific structure, represented by the crucible, which is both limited and always reformable.

Fabrice BLÉE, PhD, is a Professor of Theology (learn more). He founded SOLARS CENTRE after observing a lack of guidance for many people seeking deep spirituality and wishing to reconnect with the contemplative roots of Christianity—often by way of so-called Eastern spiritualities, philosophy, or certain psychotherapeutic practices.
Places of formation capable of welcoming both the experience of the divine and the rigor of methodical reflection remain rare. While strictly theoretical discourse is insufficient to awaken one to spiritual realities, lived experience, left to itself, can also lead to a dead end: it requires a rigorous and enlightened conceptual framework to grow and open up to greater freedom. SOLARS CENTRE responds to this need by offering a research community centered on two fundamental pillars: contemplation and hospitality.
Contemplation refers to the experience of a transforming divine presence and learning to trustfully consent to the action of this presence. Hospitality is the act of welcoming the other in their difference, freely and respectfully, without self-denial; it constitutes the foundation of all authentic dialogue. Contemplation and hospitality are inseparable and mutually nourishing.
